We also learn of Liberty’s fondness for him, which leads him to take on the role of a homosexual.
Season 2
JT continues in season 2 with his usual antics. He develops an affection for Paige at the start of the season which proves to be unfeasible. When money becomes involved, however, Paige pretends to fancy JT and goes out on a date with him. When JT discovers the circumstances involved, he is hurt but consoled by Paige the following day with a kiss on the cheek. JT also engages in a feud with liberty which nearly jeapordizes his enrollment and Degrassi. Some other highlights this season include JT’s condom prank on Toby, his crush on Ms. Hatzilakos, and his deal with Liberty at the closing of the season.
Season 3
Season 3 marks the start of JT’s fondness for Manny. JT begins to notice Manny’s provocative clothing which subsequently sparks an interest in him. JT’s intentions of dating Manny are postponed when she initiates a relationship with Sully. JT also begins to see a rise in popularity during this season when more popular characters including Paige and Spinner befriend him. These new friendships deterioriate JT’s existing friendship with Toby, which leads Toby to reveal JT’s wet dreams of Liberty. In the end, both Toby and JT mend their friendship. Season 3 begins to wrap up as JT builds the confidence to ask Manny to the semi-formal. When JT observes an encounter Manny has with Craig, he gets upset and confronts Manny. While Manny does get angry, she forgives JT and agrees to attend semi-formal with him.
Season 4
In season 4, JT’s relationship with Manny slowly begins to crumble. Manny begins to take his immature behavior into account and decides they are not fit for one another. JT’s childish activities in this season greatly contribute to this decision. Although JT’s relationship with Manny comes to an end, JT begins to realize that his heart belongs to Liberty. This realization comes as a result of both him and Liberty working on a school play.
Season 5
Liberty and JT’s relationship spawns Liberty’s pregnancy. They inform JT’s grandma and Liberty’s parents who all share different opinions on how to deal with the situation. Although JT and Liberty are no longer together, JT realizes his obligation to his child and takes on multiple jobs (counter boy, tv show, etc.). These jobs fail to be adequate in providing enough money for the apartment which Liberty and JT hope to rent. Thus, JT engages in dealing oxycodone. He subsequently entangles himself in both conflicts with the drug dealer and Liberty. In addition, JT finds himself in greater distress when he decides to overdose on oxycodone. Liberty questions his intentions and decides that it would be best to put the child up for adoption.
Season 6
With the end of JT’s relationship with Liberty, he spots the potential for a new relationship with Mia Jones, a single mother at Degrassi. When Liberty discovers this relationship, she attempts to jeapordize it by filling Mia in on JT’s secrets. This does nothing but turn both Mia and JT against her. Sadly, Season 6 marks the end of JT. After a rivalry develops between JT and a Lakehurst student Nic, JT attempts to gather his friends to assist him in fighting some Lakehurst students. On fighting day, Mia is able to convince JT’s friends to leave, which leaves the Lakehurst gang to find and injure Toby. JT is maddened by the incident and claims he will get payback. JT’s emotional troubles also begin to pile when Liberty confronts him at her birthday party asking whether he loves her or not. Confused, JT acknowledges that he does love Mia, causing Liberty to vacate the party. After a talk with Toby, JT goes scouring to find Liberty to inform her that he actually has feelings for her. As JT approaches his car, he discovers Lakehurst students Drake Lempke and Johnny DiMarco, the latter who is urinating on JT’s car. JT makes reference to the behavior in a joke and is stabbed by Lempke as he attempts to enter the car. Liberty observes the two boys fleeing the scene and ultimately discovers the wounded JT. JT is admitted to the hospital where he is pronounced dead of a punctured aorta. Among the receivers of the grave news include Liberty, Manny, Emma, Season, and Toby.
