Season 1
Terri is friends with Ashley and Paige, and spends a lot of time addressing issues regarding her weight. She also has lost her mother, and this helps her to look at many situations with a different perspective. Her and Spinner have some chemistry, but a jealous Paige convinces Terri to get drunk and go to a school dance where she embarrasses herself in front of Spinner. As a result, Paige moves in on him. Terri later forms the band PMS along with Ashley and Paige. Then when Ashley is outcast after taking ecstasy Terri is the one there for her.

Season 2
Terri and Ashley start out as friends in spite of the hurtful things that Ashley said at the end of last year. But eventually Paige and Hazel convince her to join them in shunning Ashley shortly after the beginning of the school year. Later, Terri comes to terms with her appearance. She feels embarrassed about becoming a plus size model, but a talk from Spinner helps her to realize that she is attractive, even if her appearance isn't conventional. At the end of the year, Terri plays an important role in helping Craig come to terms with his father's death. Since she lost her mother when she was young.

Season 3
This year Terri has a secret admirer, who turns out to be a young, quiet guy named Rick. She is excited and happy to have her first boyfriend, but things begin to take a turn for the worse. He becomes slowly more and more controlling and jealous leading to physical abuse. Terri is strong enough to walk away from Rick, although she still has feelings for him. Later, however against her friends' better judgment Rick convinces Terri that he has changed and they get back together. Terri's friends don't like this, but they try to respect her choice. Eventually Rick's abuse would turn serious when he pushes Terri and she accidentally hits her head on a rock. With Terri in the hospital the rest of the year she would eventually be pulled from Degrassi all together.
