Snake, feeling as though he has never really “lived”, goes through a mid life crisis.
Insider Info:
This episode is the first part of perhaps the biggest two-parter of the season. It plays a huge role in the overall story of the fifth cycle of Degrassi, aka Season 5.
In this episode we see JT as he becomes desperate when faced with the prospect of being a teenage father in three short months. He begins his new job at the pharmacy as an attempt to make honest wages to support his future child. But will minimum wage be enough? Or will he have to seek outside sources for cash with the persuasion of one of Degrassi’s favorite villains.
Also, we are treated to another plotline that has an equally important effect on the rest of the season. What some may refer to as a “predictable mid life crisis” plot, Snakes version will hold much stronger consequences than in most shows. Tried and true, degrassi makes sure that what happens in one episode will effect the next few. This episode begins the foreshadowing of confusion and misunderstanding between Snake and Spike that is to come.
