Subplot:
Ellie is devastated to discover that her first article for the university paper has been killed. She's thrilled when her cute editor lets her try again, but does he like her writing or something else?

Episode 603 picks up roughly where 602 ended. Sean's up the river without a paddle and Peter's off the hook. Emma continues to be torn between the two and realizes that sooner or later, she's going to have to make some decisions. What does Sean mean to her? How can she help him? Where does Peter fit? These are the answers she searches for in True Colours.
The subplot in this episode also continues with an arc started in the season premiere. We get treated to the early stages of Ellie's first "adult relationship." But he's only her editor and nothing more...right?
