March 7, 2005 - - Today marks the official opening of http://www.DegrassiTNGHO.com - The Yahoo Group's official website! The launch comes on the one year anniversary of the group. In the first year the group has just recently reached 10,000 total members, currently at 8400 (not counting 'bouncing' members).
The layout of the site was intentionally designed to look simple and be easy to use, while still looking appealing to the eye. We've noticed many fan sites that are just a pain to use because it's impossible to find where things are. You'll also notice the site has no advertising riddling up the screen.
DegrassiTNGHO.com will offer alot of the same info as the yahoo group, but also some extra stuff. The site will be the premiere spot for all the news on Degrassi Season 5 that you need. In addition, there will be a columns section updated often. A few columns already being worked on are a Season 4 Critique, episode reviews/best moments, DVD reviews and info on Degrassi stars side projects.
Also, those of you who like Degrassi Fan-Art and entered the contests, you will notice all of your submissions have found a home on our page. More submissions are welcome. The Downloading Instructions for soulseek and FAQ's have been updated and are much simpler and easier to navigate than at the yahoo site. Expect Limewire instructions to come, and possibly a whole new way to download for season 5.
The site also offers a full episode guide with original canadian and U.S. air dates. The links page has links to all the important Degrassi spots online. Character Descriptions are under construction, but when complete will be a great source for new fans to get caught up on whose who. Check out the contact page to learn more about DegrassiTNGHO's moderators.
