03/17/2005 - 100th Episode CTV Celebration
Thursday, CTV held an event in Toronto celebrating the hundredth episode of Degrassi: The Next Generation. In addition to a screening of the episode for 500 lucky fans, there was also a cast meet and greet, and a cutting of the cake in commemeration of the "Century Mark."
Cast members that attended the event (in no particular order) were Jamie Johnston, Shane Kippel, Adamo Ruggiero, John Bregar, Stefen Brogren, Stacy Farber, Ryan Cooley, Miriam McDonald, Cassie Steele, Lauren Collins, Shenae Grimes and Dalmar Abuzied.
Also in attendance was Executive Producer of the show Stephen Stohn who actually cut the cake (a benefit of being the one who signs the checks!). He posted on the event at degrassi.tv shortly after the celebration:
"For me it was incredible fun being at the screening, a lot because I got to catch up with so many of the cast members. While the episodes were being shown we had an offiial cutting of a Degrassi 100th episode cake that CTV had brought (and then we all ate pizza for lunch). The when the autograph signings were happening I liked standing by the table and just watching and talking to the fans as they came through."
