5/6/2005 - Shooting For Season 5 Begins Today!
May 6th, 2005 marks the first day of shooting for the 5th season of the acclaimed series Degrassi: The Next Generation. The new season will feature a majority of returning cast members, as well as many new ones. The first few days of shooting are primarily focused on episode 501/502 "Venus Parts 1+2" and a new opening sequence to precede each of the new 19 episodes.
Executive Producer Stephen Stohn made this post today at degrassi.tv:
"Just walked back from set to my office, the opening Scene 113 Take 1 of Season 5 was just shot (remember we shoot scenes out of order) as Manny walks through the front door of Degrassi to the appreciate words of JT and Toby. It's great to be back!!"
